Welcome to Casa Naranja, a tropical paradise nestled in a 3000 m² private garden just 200 meters from the beach. This unique retreat offers an unforgettable experience. The house boasts a harmonious blend of Caribbean charm and Italian sophistication. Dive into your private swimming pool, lounge in the rancho with a BBQ and wood oven, or relax in the carefully landscaped garden featuring a pond and playground.
The space
The house is fully screened with windows, has air conditioning and fans and can welcome up to 6 people.
It is a brick and concrete house that stays cool because it was designed to catch the Caribbean breeze. You can without problem let the windows open and listen to the jungle sounds thanks all the mosquito screens.
Its has also two covered terraces. One next to the swimming pool with a big family outdoor living room and two hammocks. On the other terrace you will find a table to work or play family games on and two rocking chairs. The rancho, an outdoor covered kitchen and dining room with sofas near the playground is another really cool living space. Every one can find a little privacy on the property even coming with the whole family. You want to read, to play, to swim, to cook, to nap, to observe animals and plants, go to the beach? Every thing is there.
This house is perfect to live during day outside in its private botanical garden near the beach, and to sleep sheltered in a designer house with all comfort you need.
Access for guests
No need of 4x4 car to access the property.
You have access to the whole 3000 m² property.
Your local contact is living in a small house on the parking lot and will be there for you in case of questions or problems. The laundry room will be opened for more than 4 nights clients on demand. 2 bicycles are also accessible for free so you can go and fetch your fresh bread in the nearby bakery.
The neighborhood
Playa Grande Beach Access:
Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Playa Grande, just a 3-minute walk from the house. Wander through a charming jungle path, and you'll find yourself at the heart of Playa Grande.
The exclusive access on foot ensures a peaceful retreat.
Manzanillo:
If you're feeling adventurous, take a scenic 15-minute walk along the beach to Manzanillo, a quaint coastal village offering a taste of local charm. Here you will find local restaurants and the Gandoca Manzanillo Refuge.
Playa Arrecife and Playa Punta Uva:
Enjoy the beauty of nature with a stroll along the beach! A picturesque walk to Playa Arrecife takes about 40 minutes, or you can opt for a quick 7-minute drive by car.
Both Playa Arrecife and Playa Punta Uva offer stunning coastal views.
How to get here
Parking:
We provide two designated parking spaces at the house for your convenience.
Public Transportation:
The MEPE service operates buses in the area, connecting Manzanillo to popular destinations such as Puerto Viejo, Limon, and Cahuita. It's an affordable and convenient option for those looking to explore the region.
Rental Options:
For a more personalized experience, consider renting bikes, scooters, four-wheelers, or golf carts to navigate the surroundings at your own pace. This option provides a great way to discover hidden gems and enjoy the scenic beauty of the area.
Taxi and TukTuk Services:
If you prefer a hassle-free ride or need to travel to specific destinations, taxi drivers and TukTuk services are readily available.
Additional Notes
The house is made for people who loves to live with nature. There is no TV but nearly 400m of trails in the garden, a pond, and a lot of trees. The house gets bright with the raising sun thanks high windows that can't be darkened.
The upper floor, which is the third bedroom, is open on the inside of the house and has a stair that is not secured. Consider if you are more than 4 people.

House Rules
2. Check-in time: Every day from 15:00h onward.
3. Check-out time: Before 10:00 am.
4. Occupancy: The maximum number of guests allowed is 6.
5. Quiet hours: Out of respect for our neighbors, please avoid loud noises between 21h00 and 07h00.
6. No smoking: Smoking inside the property is strictly prohibited.
7. Parties & events: Please do not host parties or events without prior authorization.
8. Pets: Pets are not allowed, as the property owners have allergies. Pets are not allowed on the whole property. People arriving with a pet will have to leave the property immediately and will lose their booking (no refund).
9. Moving furniture inside or outside is not permitted.
10. Please take care of your water and of your electricity consumption
(Water is complicated to get and to treat in the jungle and electricity is very expensive here.) Avoid wastage of water and shut off the lights and Air-conditioning when you don’t need it.
11. Spoiling the water of the swimming-pool forcing to empty it (broken glass, vomit, spilling of products etc. ) will result not only for costs for the work and the new water delivery but also for the refund to the next customer (50% of their stay, max 3 days)
Pets are not allowed on the whole property. People arriving whith a pet will have to leave the property immediately and will loose their booking (no refund).
