Car Rentals
Driving on your own is always an option. It is recommended to choose a car rental company that has offices in the Caribbean, either in the port city of Limon or in the coastal town of Puerto Viejo. This way, you will be able to pick up and/or drop off the car without additional charges for the return.
Local Airline Flights
30 minute round trip flight from San Jose + 1 hour transfer from Limon Airport to Puerto Viejo.
Depending on the season, there are between 2 and 3 flights scheduled daily.
Some flights may include 1 stopover.
Rental Car Delivery at the Airport
For a more pleasant and comfortable experience, rental cars can be delivered directly to the airport, avoiding waiting or complicated procedures.
